Rain forests are areas where a carousel of diversity meets the thrill of pleasure. Whether they differ in their composition or not, they are always worth our time! Just a 45 minute drive along the Kampala-Jinja highway would get you to one of the very best; the grand Mabira forest Uganda. Located within the central region of Uganda and covering up a total land mass of 300sqkm, this forest is yet another area of significance and uniqueness. The forest is currently the second largest naturally existing forest in Uganda, spanning through districts of Mukono, Buikwe and Jinja.
